Privacy Policy

1. Data we collect

Account and contact data: name, business email, organization and role — data you or your organization provide when contracting and using the service.

Usage data: technical access logs (login time, IP address, device type) to the extent necessary for security and operation.

Publicly available media content: titles and texts of publicly published news articles and publicly posted reader comments, collected from publicly accessible portals for media analysis, and public posts and comments from social networks (see section 3).

2. Data about public figures

The platform analyzes media coverage of public figures and organizations in public and political life. This processing covers exclusively publicly available media information and is based on legitimate interest and the public interest in monitoring public reporting. We do not process special categories of data beyond what media have published, we make no automated decisions with legal effect on anyone, and we never publicly publish sentiment scores about individuals.

3. Public content from social networks

Through the official APIs (YouTube Data API and Facebook Graph API) we read and analyze public posts from YouTube channels and Facebook Pages of political parties, politicians, public institutions and media. We do not access private profiles, closed groups or private messages.

The analysis covers the content of a post and its public engagement figures (number of reactions, comments and shares). We do not read who reacted to or shared a post.

For public comments, we analyze the comment content together with the author's display name. We do not read the author's account identifier, profile link or photo.

We keep social media content only as long as the analysis needs it, within the periods that each network's rules set. Posts that the author removes from the network are no longer shown.

The owner of a Page or channel, and the author of a comment, can request deletion of their data at kontakt@polytiks.ba. Include the link to the Page, channel or comment. We delete the data within 30 days and confirm the deletion by email.

4. Purpose and legal basis

We process data to: (a) perform the contract with your organization; (b) operate, secure and improve the service (legitimate interest); (c) meet legal obligations; and (d) where consent is the legal basis (e.g. marketing communication), with your consent.

5. Where data is stored

All data is stored on servers in the European Union with technical and organizational safeguards aligned with GDPR standards. Each organization's data is strictly isolated — no other user, including political rivals, can see who you track, what you view or how you respond.

6. Sharing

We do not sell or rent personal data. We share it only with trusted processors providing infrastructure services (hosting, email delivery, automated text analysis) under data-processing agreements, and where required by law or a competent authority.

For automated text analysis (for example sentiment and recognition of mentioned persons and organizations) and for generating reports, we use the OpenAI API. OpenAI processes this data outside the European Union under standard contractual clauses and, under its terms, does not use it to train models.

7. Aggregated and derived data

Analyses, scores, statistics, indices and other derived data produced by our platform — including aggregated and anonymized outputs that cannot be linked to an individual — are the exclusive property of PolyTiks and may be used, published and licensed by us without restriction, to the extent permitted by data-protection law.

8. Retention

Account data is kept for the duration of the contract and thereafter as required by law. Technical logs are kept for a limited security-necessary period. Publicly available media content is kept while relevant to the purpose of media analysis. Social media content is kept within the periods described in section 3.

9. Your rights

Under the BiH Law on Protection of Personal Data you have the right of access, rectification, erasure and objection, and the right to complain to the Personal Data Protection Agency of Bosnia and Herzegovina (azlp.ba). 10. Cookies

We use only essential cookies necessary for the site to work (e.g. language preference, login session). We use no advertising cookies and sell nothing to advertisers.
